We had a great experience at a family-run hotel, where we enjoyed a comfortable restaurant for breakfast with excellent dishes, exceptional service, and a lovely location in a residential area.

Perfect 10/10 stay, as always. Neat and brand-new room with excellent shower, biscuits, as for instance. Lovely and exceptionally nice location, just walking distance from everywhere.
Rather noisy staff!

My husband and I had a very enjoyable evening meal at the hotel. The food was very good, well presented and value for money. The young lady who waited on us was very pleasant, friendly and efficient. The breakfast was also good with plenty of choice and again served by another pleasant, efficient young lady. A good start to a very long day of travel.
The room could have been a little cleaner especially under the bed.

Convenient location near Scotland 🏴, the restaurant served great food on the first night. The rooms are spacious with huge bathrooms. Tasty breakfast options are available at the bar.

The room was dirty and very noisy. The family bar had very drunken people in it using language not suitable for children. There was no food after 9pm and our flight meant we only arrived after 9pm. We were travelling with a young child so this was not accecptable.

Fantastic welcome and service--nothing was too much. Food in bar was great--little bit expensive though for me. Pub was very lively each night we stayed there--sat, sun. Rooms were small but with all facilities and very clean with daily changes to linen, beds made etc. Nothing much round about but perfect for our stay which was to attend golf at castle stuart. A good base for exploring round about I would say. Breakfast was very good, owner as a delight like his staff. Would absolutely recommend it and will definately go back--probably next year for the scottish open again!
A little noisy--creaking floors and thin walls. Could hear tv next door and snoring through the night was extremely loud--although thats to do with folk staying there and not the hotel--quite funny really. The overall experience was very good--a great, popular, welcoming stay.

Very friendly small country inn. Especially liked that it was not ruined by stereo type modern chain hotel decor but was a typical old scottish inn with character. Food was absolutely superb. I ate in the bar that had many locals and tourists enjoying each others company but spoke to others that ate in the quieter restaurant and they also enjoyed the food ( 2 different menus). Great cooked breakfast to order. Room basic but very clean and comfortable. Digital tv reception better than most large hotels that I stay in. Summary: good value friendy place to stay with decent food.
Enjoyed everything apart from one other moaning guest who had paid a good price like I had but wanted a 4 star hotel!!! If you want 4 star, you have to pay far more.

The room was a good size and had a modern feel, plus it had a nice view; I enjoyed having breakfast at the bar. The hotel was conveniently located near the sea, restaurant, and breakfast.

Everything about the hotel was excellent. Location was excellent for using public transport, with buses passing the door hourly to either Inverness or Aberdeen and locations on route. Food most enjoyable and all in all a very people frendly place to say.
nothing that we didn't like about our stay

I recently had a great stay at a quaint hotel in the Scottish highlands. The location was ideal, situated in a small village but with easy access to Inverness. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making me feel right at home. The room I stayed in was comfortable, with an excellent shower and a much bigger bathroom than I expected. The attention to detail was evident, from the basic amenities to the excellent breakfast included in the price. this hotel offered great value for money.
All was fine, nothing to complain about.

Friendly and helpful staff, good food in the pub and at breakfast, nice location in a cute little village.
The hotel rooms were adequate, but were tiny and not terribly well appointed. Floors creaked badly and doors were difficult to close. The interior construction looked amateurish. We expected more for 100 GBP per night. We remodeling, the whole place could be utterly charming, but right now it isn't. It was clean, however, and fine for one night. The charming staff and good food nearly made up for it though.
